For a truly formal, traditional look at a wedding or ball, the Piper Drummer Military Doublet is an excellent choice to pair with your tartan kilt. This classic design is patterned after traditional military doublets and is made from the finest of materials. You can choose between 100 percent Vicuna or Barathea wool to suit your tastes. The coat is trimmed in silver with scroll-work braids at the collar, sleeves and on the shoulders. Three trios of silver buttons travel down either side of the doublet front for a very regal appearance, and there are buttons on the tails and cuffs to add to the effect.

The Piper Drummer Military Doublet is a made to measure Scottish design crafted with traditional methods by hand. When you order, you can specify a sleeve length from 23.5 inches to 27 inches and the chest size from 35 inches to 60 inches. The doublet is best worn with a tartan kilt, knee-high socks and Ghillie brogues.

Measurement Note:
When measuring for your jacket and waistcoat please allow at least 1″ or 2″ give for comfort and movement. For example if you measure as a snug 38″ chest order a 40″ jacket. The additional size will allow for comfortable body movement when wearing the jacket and waistcoat. Ensure your measurements are accurate re-measure at least twice! If possible get a tailor or seamstress to measure you up.
